North Branford Potato and Corn Festival happening this weekend

NORTH BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A lot of “eyes” and “ears” on this festival! The Potato and Corn Festival is going on in North Branford this weekend.

Northford has been celebrating these two staple-starches for 15 years. Plus, you can check out rides, vendors, crafts and music!

Organizers say what you spend goes toward future festivals and scholarships for high schoolers. They expect to go through 5,000 potatoes this weekend and the corn is as fresh and local as it gets.

“Every morning at 5:00, we get a corn delivery from 3 different farms DeFrancesco Farm, Cecarelli Farms and Auger Farm,” said Roseanne Krajewski, Potato and Corn Festival.

She says Saturday is the biggest day of the festival with fireworks at night. All the fun will wrap up on Sunday.
