Sprague, Conn. (WTNH) – The Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force – East Office have arrested a man from Baltic they say was selling heroin.
Detectives from the SNTF (Statewide Narcotics Task Force) and the Sprague Resident Trooper’s Office initiated a several month-long investigation into the sale of heroin in the Sprague area. Through the course of this lengthy investigation detectives developed a suspect, Tomas Ortiz, and continued investigating. Detectives applied for an arrest warrant for Ortiz from superior court and were granted that warrant.
On Monday, August 8th detectives served the active arrest warrant on Tomas Ortiz. Ortiz was taken into custody and transported to Troop E – Montville were he was fingerprinted, photographed, and held on bond pending his court date. He’s charges with 2 counts of selling heroin.
