ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) — Fair season is almost here Connecticut, and if you need a last-minute part for the tractor pull, or the best feed for your prize worthy animal you’re in luck.
The Tractor Supply Company will be opening its 14th location in the Nutmeg state on 253 Indian River Road in Orange. Construction on the over 19,000 square foot store began on February 22nd and has set a tentative opening date for the middle of September. The store will feature not only a sales floor and service space, but an outdoor space for storage and a wide variety display items.
Tractor Supply’s District Manager, Alan Morris, was excited about the store’s location saying “Tractor Supply looks forward to being a member of the Orange community.” Morris also went on to say that Orange was the logical choice for the store, given it’s location and rural history.
“Orange is a great fit for Tractor Supply due to the horse owners and part-time and hobby farmers in the area. Many of our new customers are pleasantly surprised by our unique mix of product offerings, which in addition to farm products and hardware, also includes pet food and supplies and clothing items for the entire family.”
Tractor Supply Company is the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the country currently operating over 1,500 stores in forty nine states. The goal of the company is to put stores outside of major metropolitan markets and instead focuses on supplying rural communities with the tools they need for farming and operating small businesses. Along with supplying machinery, parts, and clothing, the company also sells products for taking care of a large variety of animals from horses to dogs.
While the store is set to open in September, there has been grand opening date set at this time.
