Danbury hospital offering EMT course

DANBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Danbury Hospital is offering a Basic Emergency Medical Technician course that will start in September.

Western Connecticut Health Network Emergency Medical Services is offering this three month EMT course.

It starts Tuesday September 6 and will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm to 11pm with occasional meetings on Saturday from 8am to 4pm.

Western Connecticut Health Network said emergency training resources far exceeds state requirements and national EMS programs by providing course participants with more hands-on experience and follow-up with real world practice. If you participate in this course you will gain knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary to be a part of the emergency health care system.

After completing the training, course participants will be eligible to take the National Registry exams to receive a Connecticut and National EMT-B certification.

The course costs $895 and includes the course and work book. Everyone will be subject to a criminal background check.
