Justin Bieber deactivates Instagram after fan backlash

(WTNH)– Justin Bieber appears to have deactivated his Instagram account following a “social media feud” with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Bieber threatened to make his Instagram private after receiving negative response from fans after the singer posted multiple photos of himself and his new girlfriend, Sofia Richie.

“I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand,” Bieber captioned on one of the photos that he posted. “If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people I like.”

The comment sparked some anger and criticism from fans and reportedly ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.

“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you. They were there before anyone,” Gomez commented on the picture.

Bieber responded to the message implying that the singer used him to become famous.

“It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love,” Bieber commented.

Twitter blew up with news that Bieber deleted his Instagram with the hashtag
