Man killed in Hartford shooting


HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Police say a man was killed in late night shooting in Hartford.

Officers responded to Cleveland Avenue and Main Street after a shots fired report and male down on the ground around 8:22 p.m. Thursday night.

Police say officers located 40-year-old Joseph Jiles who suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and upper torso area. Officers began CPR until the arrival of AMR ambulance and the Hartford Fire Department.

Jiles was transported to Hartford Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
