2 injured in rollover accident in Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — On Tuesday morning, police received various calls reporting a one car rollover accident in Plainfield.

The accident occurred just before 10 a.m. on Squaw Rock Road near the bottom of the hill, where it intersects with Prospect Street.

Police identified 16-year-old Sophia Leduc of Putnam as the driver of the 2012 Subaru Outback. She was driving south on Squaw Rock Road when she crossed the yellow dividing line and hit an embankment, according to police. The impact caused the car to roll over and end up on the opposite side of the road.

Leduc and 15-year-old Chelsea Minaya-Torres, who was the passenger, were transported to Day Kimball Hospital with minor injuries.

This accident remains under investigation.
