Man pulled from North Stonington lake dies

NORTH STONINGTON, Conn. (WTNH)– A 30-year-old man has died after being pulled from a lake in North Stonington Monday evening.

DEEP says State Encon Police and State Police responded to a possible drowning at Billings Lake around 7 p.m., where an unidentified male was pulled from the water. He was then taken to Backus Hospital and pronounced dead shortly after 8 p.m.

The incident remain under investigation by State Encon Police.

DEEP says Billings Lake is not one of the 23 designated state park swim areas.
