Mosquitoes in 3 new Conn. towns test positive for West Nile

(WTNH) — Three new towns have been added to the list where mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile Virus.

According to Phil Armstrong from the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, mosquitoes in Milford, Fairfield and East Haven have tested positive for the virus.

These towns now join nine others, Bridgeport, Darien, Easton, Hartford, Newington, Stamford, Stratford, West Hartford and West Haven, where West Nile-positive mosquitoes have been reported.

No Connecticut residents have been infected with West Nile Virus this year.
