NEW HAVEN (WTNH) — Kids are heading back to school and that means parents are preparing and getting everything their kids needs. Which means taking a trip to the mall and stocking up on new school clothes.
Danielle Consiglio the marketing director from the Connecticut Post Mall joined us with a few fashionista’s and showed us some clothes parents can pick up during the last day of tax free week.
First we have Sophia and Evan wearing Gymboree. Animal prints are big this year. Her outfit is from Gymboree’s Catastic line. Bright colors and Glitter are also big this year. Graphic tees especially classic comics like batman are popular with the younger kids. Evan’s look is complete with a quilted vest and skinny jeans. These can be found at Gymboree are $14.99 and under.
A lot of the clothing this season for kids empowers them to express their individuality. Ava and Dan are wearing outfits from Gap Kids. Dan likes Science so we have him in a Galileo tee paired with Gap’s softer than ever denim.
Prints and patches are in high demand this year for girls and denim shirts are great for when it starts to get a little chillier and kids may need to layer up. Gap also has some great back-to-school deals.
Emojis are all the rage this year. Bella is wearing emoji patched jeans and a top from Justice. The Boho look is another look that is on trend for girls. Hannah ran right over to this faux fur vest. Paired with maroon leggings and a fringed booties, all from Justice.
