Mass. man arrested after stabbing Wallingford man while he slept

(WTNH)–A Massachusetts man is now behind bars in Connecticut, accused of stabbing a Wallingford man whose apartment he was staying in.

Police arrested 4-year-old Edward Hoffman of East Longmeadow, Mass. They said he was staying at Judd Square Condiminiums in Wallingford for the weekend when he stabbed a man in the backside while he slept.

It happened on July 2.

Police said the man stabbed him back in self-defense. Both were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Hoffman will face a judge on Tuesday.
