MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Milford police are asking the public for help in locating a driver that struck a woman attempting to get into another car Sunday night.

Just after 10:45 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Bridgeport Avenue and Woodland Avenue on a report of a serious accident with possible life-threatening injuries. Through their preliminary investigation, police determined that a dark colored sedan was traveling eastbound on Bridgeport Avenue when it struck 34-year-old Amanda Keane, of Stratford, as well as a car that she was attempting to get into safely.

A witness at the scene told police that after the collision took place, the dark colored sedan fled eastbound on Bridgeport Avenue.

Keane was transported to Bridgeport Hospital. She is listed in critical condition.

Police are asking the public for help identifying the vehicle that fled from this accident. It is a dark colored sedan that would have damage to its right front head light, bumper, fender, and missing its passenger side mirror, according to officers. The accident is still under investigation.

If you have any information that could help identify the hit-and-run driver, you’re asked to call Milford police at 203-878-5244.
