CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH) — Friendly’s Restaurant in Cromwell is closed for repairs after a car crashed in to the building, according to authorities.

Police say a 65-year-old Cromwell woman accidentally stepped on the gas Wednesday morning, causing her to go forward in to the building on Berlin Road. No one was hurt, but the kitchen was damaged.

The building and health inspectors determined that because of structural damage, the building would have to close until repairs are made. It’s not clear when the repairs will be finished and the restaurant reopened.
