State Police looking for pheasant farm arsonist

SALEM, Conn. (WTNH) – State Police are trying to figure out who is behind several fires at the same abandoned pheasant farm.

On August 24th, around 1:50 p.m. and again on August 30th at 2:50 p.m., fire crews were called to Bordeau’s Pheasant Farm at 343 Old Colchester Road in Salem. One of the buildings on the old farm was destroyed.

Another fire call came in Wednesday at 11:16 a.m. for a debris fire at the same farm and the fire department as called back to the farm, for a second time that day and a fourth time overall. The quickly put the fire out. No one was hurt.

State police are trying to find the person behind all of the fires. If you have a tip call Detective Fratellenico at (860) 465-5456 or the confidential tip hotline at (860) 465-5469, or text TIP711 with the information to 274637. All calls will be kept confidential.
