Stop & Shop Recalls La Flor Ground Cumin Products

PURCHASE, NY (WTNH) – Stop & Shop is pulling La Flor Ground Cumin off the shelves saying it may contain peanut residue making it unsafe for people who have peanut allergies. The ground cumin is safe for people to eat as long as they arn’t allergic to peanuts.

Most symptoms from food allergies appear within a few minutes to two hours.
Allergic reaction includes hives, flushed skin, vomiting, diarrhea and cramps. The more severe symptoms include swelling of the throat, vocal cords and difficulty breathing.

The products being recalled are : La Flor Ground Cumin, 2 oz., UPC 7763601450, Lot # RLF904 and an expiration date of 10/18,11/18 or 12/18 stamped on the side. If you have this in your pantry, you can take it to Stop & Shop for a full refund.
