Car crashes into Middletown church

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH)– A car crashed right into the rectory of a church in Middletown Wednesday night.

News 8 has learned that the car crashed into the rectory of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, at 155 Washington Street, around 11: 30 p.m.

The church called their carpenters who responded to the scene and put up beams to support the building. The car remained inside the church on Thursday, as crews work to reinforce the building before pulling the car out.

There is no word on any injuries. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
