Bristol Police identify pedestrian and driver in Wednesday accident

Bristol, Conn. (WTNH) – Police have released the identities of the driver and pedestrian involved in an accident on Wednesday.

Police say 57-year-old Leslie Davenport is suffering from serious injuries to the head and leg, after being hit while crossing Middle Street. Police say the driver, 56-year-old Daniel Bruneau of Terryville was driving a 2011 Ford Taurus when he hit Davenport. Fire, EMS and Police crews responded to the accident around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Davenport was taken by Life Star from the scene and flown to Hartford Hospital.

Right now Davenport is still in critical condition. The driver was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation, any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Officer O’Connor at 860-584-3036.
