Motorists identified in fatal Rocky Hill crash

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) – An investigation is underway in a deadly accident in Rocky Hill involving two motorcycles and car on Cromwell Avenue, close to the Cromwell town line.

The Rocky Hill Police Department responded to the accident Saturday afternoon, September 10th, at 4:49 pm. Both motorcyclists and the driver of the car were taken to hospitals in the area for treatment of their injuries.

One of the motorcyclists, Matthew J. Lanza, 37, of Cromwell, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The other motorcyclist, identified as 50-year-old Ronald A. McNeill Jr., of Middletown, sustained serious injuries. McNeill’s condition is now listed as stable, and he remains in the hospital.

The driver of the car, Pamela Hebb, 59, of Rocky Hill, was also hurt in the crash. She is listed in stable condition, and remains in the hospital.

According to police, the two motorcycles were traveling south and the car was traveling north. The collision occurred in the northbound lane. Police are investigating what may have caused the crash.

The Rocky Hill Police Department is asking that anyone who witnessed this incident to call Police Headquarters at (860) 258-7640.
