New mural revealed on New Haven Harbor fuel tank

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A local artist has created a new mural for the New Haven Harbor fuel tank.

The mural is 72 by 36 feet. Designed by New Haven-based artist Bayla Arietta, it features the Yale Peabody Museum and of course a dinosaur goes along with that. Arietta’s mural replaces one that featured a detail of the museum’s The Age of Reptiles mural by Rudolph Zallinger.

You can see the artwork as you travel north over the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge.

It is expected that the mural will last for 20 years.
