CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH) — Cromwell police have arrested a man who they say shot a flare gun into the air, which damaged a nearby vehicle.
Just before noon on Tuesday, Cromwell police were called to a damaged vehicle on Goodrich Avenue. Police say the vehicle had a large burn mark on the roof and a witness said they believed they saw a firework strike the vehicle.
Police went to the area the witness saw the firework come from and found 69-year-old Harris Pomstein. Police say Pomstein admitted to shooting off a flare gun into the air.
Pomstein was arrested for unlawful discharge, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and breach of peace. He was released on a $2,500 bond and is due in court on September 27.
