Public invited to discuss I-84 construction

New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) – Transportation officials in the state are giving people in the Hartford area the opportunity to give suggestions on how to make the re-design of Interstate 84 in the Hartford area more accessible to bicycles and pedestrians

The September Open Planning Studio will consist of a public workshop that will focus on reducing the visual impact of the project.

Over the past year, the Connecticut department of Transportation has developed three primary building alternatives to replace the aging bridges on the interstate in Hartford.Today’s meeting will be held at the Immanuel Congregation Church on Woodland Street from noon until 8 o’clock tonight.
