Ask the Doctor: Covering this week’s health headlines

(WTNH) – Here to talk about the big health headlines this week is double board certified in reconstructive and plastic surgery, Dr. Beth Collins.

Some of the questions we asked:

-Olympian Simone Biles admitted she takes medication for ADHD. A disorder that’s pretty common?

-And what does that type of medication do?

-Is it performance enhancing?

Now to Hillary Clinton’s health. Clinton’s campaign had said she was just exhausted and dehydrated when she left a 9/11 ceremony on Sunday, but then there was the video showing Clinton having trouble getting into a car. That’s when her people disclosed that she has pneumonia.

-Is pneumonia common? Or is this something the public should be concerned with?

-Is there enough information to draw any conclusions about her overall health?

Check out the video above for Dr. Beth’s answers, and catch News 8 at 5 p.m. every Wednesday for our “Ask the Doctor” segments.
