‘Operation Save a Life’ distributes fire alarms

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — News 8 is a proud partner of ‘Operation Save a Life.’

On Wednesday, fire and carbon monoxide alarms were collected and will be given to fire departments statewide.

This year, News 8 is once again teaming up with KIDDE, the Home Depot and the Connecticut Burn Center. Together we plan on handing out 5,000 smoke alarms and 1,000 carbon monoxide alarms to attending fire departments.

If you are in need of an alarm, or know someone who is, contact your local fire department.
