Troopers make drug arrest after woman steals cash from victim

KILLINGLY, Conn. (WTNH) — Troopers from the Danielson barracks arrested a female after it was discovered that she stole a wallet with cash from one residence and later was caught with drugs at another home Tuesday night, according to police.

Around 7 p.m. troopers responded to a residence in Killingly in regards to a robbery and assault complaint. The victim stated that at approximately 6:00 p.m. a female he knew as Sharif Hicks entered his home and took his wallet from his draw with $500.00 inside. The victim told police when he went to grab the wallet from Hicks she pushed him down to the ground and caused an injury to his head. Hicks then fled the residence. At 9:20 p.m. two troopers located Hicks at a residence on Prospect Ave. in Danielson. When Troopers took Hicks into custody they found crack cocaine, heroin and $210.00 on her. Troopers took Hicks Danielson barracks where she was charged with robbery in the third-degree, assault in the second-degree of an elderly person, home invasion, larceny in the second-degree, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and interfering with an officer.

She was held on a $100,000 dollar cash/surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on Wednesday.
