A Unique Living Facility to Help Those With Memory Loss Diseases

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – The first of its kind in Connecticut, the Artis Senior Living facility partners with families who have a loved one suffering from a form of dementia and memory loss.

The facility provides workshops for families who are experiencing caring for an individual with memory loss and memory loss diseases.

“The building itself takes care of the physical needs of the residents,” said the Vice President of Memory Care Mary Underwood, “It keeps them safe and it keeps them secure, it’s a small neighborhood model where they have a living room, kitchen, dining room, just like they did at home.”

The facility is now taking reservations and plans to take its first resident in January.
