Motorcyclist injured in Rte. 214 crash

LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH) — A motorcyclist was rushed to Bacchus Hospital after crashing on Route 214 in Ledyard on Thursday morning, along with a car.

Ledyard police say they responded to Route 214 at Trolley Line Boulevard at 5:57 a.m. on Thursday morning, on a report of a car versus a motorcycle crash.

The car driver was uninjured, but the police say the motorcyclist was transported to Bacchus Hospital by ambulance for “non-life threatening injuries.”

Route 214 was closed as crews worked to clear the scene, and reopened around 6:40 a.m.
