Groton man arrested in connection with 8 burglaries

GROTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Groton police have arrested a man for his alleged connection with eight burglaries in the city in the last two weeks.

According to Groton City police, six homes and two businesses have been burglarized over the past two weeks. Police say mostly jewelry, cash and credit cards were stolen.

Police say evidence obtained in their investigation showed that 43-year-old Henry Rogers of Groton had been involved in the burglaries.

Police say during their investigation, Rogers was arrested by New London police for a similar burglary.

Rogers was arrested on Tuesday and is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, six counts of third-degree burglary, second-degree larceny, two counts of third-degree larceny, fourth-degree larceny and two counts of sixth-degree larceny. He is being held on $185,000 bond.
