Hartford man arrested for home burglary

West Hartford, Conn. (WTNH)- A Hartford man is under arrest and facing multiple charges in connection with a burglary at a home on Goodsell Street in West Hartford.

54 year old Jeffrey Barnes was wearing a hard hat and reflective vest when he was arrested on New Park Avenue near Hamilton Street. Police units had been the area after a report of a silent alarm going off and suspicious person walking around that address on Goodsell Street.

Earlier, witnesses spotted a suspect wearing a reflective vest, black pants leaving the area on a bicycle. Police say several screens at the home on Goodsell Street and a back window had been smashed.

Barnes faces charges that include burglary, criminal mischief, trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
