Norwalk water rescue underway following an “altercation”

NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — Crews are working to rescue a man from the Norwalk River after he and two others reportedly fell in during “an altercation.”

Norwalk police and firefighters responded to Wall and Main Streets at the Norwalk River, after a caller reported someone had fallen in. Witnesses on scene told crews¬†that three men were in an altercation that “ended up in the river.” While two men managed to get out, one man was missing.

Two people were taken to Norwalk Hospital after the fall. Their conditions are not known.
