NORTH WINDHAM, Conn. (WTNH)– Police say a reward is being offered for information leading up to an arrest in a North Windham commercial burglary.
Police say on September 12th, state troopers responded to a burglary at Progressive Data Systems, located at 148 Club Road, just after 8:30 a.m. Troopers conducted an initial investigation and searched the area for suspects, before Major Crimes assumed the investigation.
During the burglary several items were stolen, including computers, antique clocks, paintings and a number of Christian Seidler artworks. The Christian Seidler paintings are oil on canvas and are unique in that they are comprised of thousands of raised dabs of oil paint that combine to create a textured work of art. Police say most of the paintings are large, 30×44 inches, and should be easily recognizable.
A piece of artwork by artist J.Kugler was also discovered to be stolen.
A $5,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects involved in the burglary.
