HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Scheduled to perform at the XL Center on Monday night, Maroon 5 canceled to make way for the birth of frontman Adam Levine’s first child.

Just before their tour kicked off on September 3, Maroon 5 announced they were rescheduling seven shows, and that Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo would be celebrating their firstborn. The lead singer tweeted out an apologetic video, saying, “Unfortunately it’s just life. It’s beautiful but it can be complicated.”

While those seven shows were announced with rescheduled dates, the band has yet to announce when the XL Center show will go on. He promised in that video, though, that those rebooked “shows will be just as great, you might have to just wait a little bit.” The cancellation was announced on Friday.

Some fans took to Twitter to voice their disappointment:

Others were happy to have the opportunity to buy in the first place, although it’s unclear whether the show will be rebooked.
