8-year-old girl missing from Naugatuck found in Arizona

NAUGATUCK,Conn. (WTNH) — A missing 8-year-old girl from Naugatuck has been found safe in Arizona.

Police say they located 8-year-old Mariah Snyder, of Naugatuck, in Arizona. She was safe and unharmed.

In a now canceled silver alert, police said they believed that Snyder was with two family members, identified as 47-year-old Erica Mizell and 33-year-old Megan Mizell. They were also believed to be operating a gray, 2017 Dodge Caravan with the Connecticut registration AF76355.

Detectives investigated leads that Snyder was taken to the Waterbury area or the Mesa, Arizona area.

The incident remains under investigation.
