Shelton police investigating after pedestrian seriously hurt

SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Shelton police are continuing their investigation after a vehicle struck a Naugatuck woman, leaving her with serious injuries.

Just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Shelton police received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting that a woman was hit by a vehicle heading south in the area of 441 Howe Avenue. When police, fire, and EMS crews arrived on the scene, they were able to identify the woman hit as Lisa Taylor, 32, of Naugatuck.

Taylor was rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital with serious injuries. Her current condition is unknown.
