Hamden police investigate armed robbery

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) —  Police in Hamden are investigating an armed robbery in the area of Circular Avenue and Gorham Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim advised officers that he stopped his car on Gorham Avenue to talk to friends around 5:30 p.m. when he was robbed by the suspect.

The suspect is being described as an African American man, in his mid-20’s, 6’2″, between 300 to 400 pounds. He was last seen wearing black clothing.

According to police, he demanded the victim’s belongings, while threatening to shoot him and left after stealing hundred of dollars from the victim.
