Hartford, Conn (WTNH) – Engine Company 15 in Hartford can feel like proud parents. On Friday, September 16th, Engine Company 15 got a call of a woman going into labor and the firefighters were right there at the right time to bring the little bundle of joy into the world.

Engine 15 arrived on the scene as the baby was more than ready to be delivered. The firefighters quickly grabbed their Emergency Medical Services bag and got ready to welcome the baby. Luckily the baby was born with no complications and the firefighters cut the umbilical cord. There’s no word on if the baby was a boy or a girl but we’re told that the newborn and the Mom were taken to a local hospital for further care and they are doing well.

This is the third baby delivered by the Hartford Fire Department this year. News 8 is sending out well wishes to the Mom and baby. And kudos to the Hartford firefighters on a job well done.
