WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) – The Windsor Locks Police Department is investigating a bank robbery.

Windsor Locks Police tell News 8 that the department received a bank robbery alarm activation from United Bank shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Monday.

When officers arrived on scene, they found out that a man walked into the bank and handed an employee a note demanding cash.

Employees at the bank told police that the man opened his vest to imply that he may have had a gun, but no one saw it.

The suspect is described as an African-American man in his mid 30’s, approximately 5’8″, 220-240lbs, wearing a baseball cap, thin framed sunglasses with peach-colored tint lenses, a scruffy black beard, long collarbone length hair, white t-shirt-short sleeve and a bluish colored vest.
