NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Gone are the lazy days of summer. September creeps up on families with hectic schedules and lots to remember. Relationship expert Dr. Patty Ann shares tips on how to turn a bumpy road into smooth sailing with tips for back to school schedules.

  1. Get On the Same Page: Dr. Patty’s Ann’s first tip is to get organized. This could include color coordinated calendars. The trick is to review the calendar on Sunday to spot potential conflicts.
  2. Take advantage of the night before: The more you get done the night before, the smoother the following day will be.
  3. Breakfast: It really is the most important meal of the day. Even if your children refuse to eat at home, pack a protein bar in their backpack. They’ll thank you later.
