In the Bender Kitchen: Celebrity Chef Kevin Des Chenes Recipe for Pork Flat Iron with Apple Cranberry Chutney


NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Chef Kevin Des Chenes’s Pan seared Pork Flat-Iron with Apple Cranberry Chutney.

  • Pork Flat-iron
  • EVOO
  • Granny smith apple
  • Dry cranberries
  • Onion
  • Butter
  • S+P


  • Pan sear pork with EVOO in pan on Medium heat for 5 min each side,
  • set aside and let rest

For Chutney:

  • Caramelize onion
  • Fine dice apple add to hot pan
  • add dry cranberries and tablespoon of butter
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • let simmer on medium/low heat until apples are soft

Slice pork and top with apple cranberry chutney
