NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – A group of people traveling the nation will be in New Haven on Wednesday and Thursday, September 21-22 to teach kids safe bus behavior.
It’s called the safety dog bus tour and it uses fun, interactive activities to teach safe bus riding basics to elementary school students and their parents.
Students can also walk the yellow carpet and pose for a photo with Safety Dog.
“Student safety is at the heart of everything we do,” said Area General Manager Lucille Ayotte. “The Safety Dog Bus Tour encourages the best possible start to the school year by engaging thousands of students and parents within the communities we serve and reinforcing valuable safety messages in a fun and memorable way.”
This is happening from 9-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday and 12:30-2 p.m. on Thursday at 460 Lexington Avenue in New Haven.
