AVON, Conn. (WTNH) — A Connecticut Superior Court ruling has ended with charges being dropped against an Avon physician who had been accused of sexual assault.
Dr. Khosro Pourkavoos had been accused of sexually assaulting 11 women during office visits at his family practice.
“A heavy burden has been lifted off of my shoulders with the nullification of those false accusations,” said Pourkavoos. “With the support of my family and many of my wonderful patients, I managed to weather this horrific storm. In the end, we were blessed to be able to prove clearly that those heinous accusations were false and I thank all who stood beside me during those difficult times. Everyone supported and encouraged me until the truth came to light. I’m honored by their belief in me.”
