ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) – Two New York men are facing charges, accused of stealing used cooking oil from a restaurant in Orange.

Police arrested Jahquay Rowe, 20, and Charles Green, 27, both of Queens, for stealing cooking oil from the Outback Steakhouse in Orange. Police say on September 12th, the two pulled up to a used oil storage container behind the restaurant with a box truck, and drained the oil into their truck.

The restaurant was not open at the time. Police say the two did not work from the company that had been contracted to take the oil, and were stealing the grease to re-sell it. DEEP was called in to clean up the oil. Both are charged with larceny and criminal trespass, and police say their truck failed inspection.
