Bridgeport man accused of sexually assaulting children

NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bridgeport man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two juveniles.

Norwalk police say, in May, they started investigating allegations that 39-year-old Jose Cardenas sexually assaulted two juveniles in 2006. An arrest warrant was issued after the investigation and he was arrested on Friday.

The Frank Street man is charged with first-degree sexual assault, two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was held on $500,000 bond and was due in court later on Friday.
