Special Election Will Determine State Congresswoman’s Replacement

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – A special election will be held on November 8th, to fill a vacancy in the State House of Representatives serving the 90th Assembly District, which covers portions of Cheshire and Wallingford.  The seat was left vacant when Mary Fritz passed away this Summer.  Both a special election and a regular election for the seat will be held on this date.  The winner of the special election will fill the seat through the remainder of the current term.  The winner of the regular election will be sworn into office at the beginning of the next regular term in January 2017.
