Cruisin’ Connecticut – Double Trouble: 100th Birthday too Hot to Handle

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to Rocky Hill to The Lodge at Cold Spring, to surprise two residents who hit the 100-year mark this month!

Ed and Nioma were both born in September of 1916. To put things in perspective, they’ve lived through 16 presidents and 73,000 days on earth. We thought… well I thought, it would be cute to surprise them with a cake with 200 candles.

Sounded great at the moment, but as you’ll see… maybe we should’ve stuck with cupcakes.

When asked her favorite moment in life, she warmed our hearts:

Marrying my husband. That’s about the best.

Nioma invited us to her 200th.
