For a Cozy Fall Meal Visit the Café at Middlebury Consignment

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — At Middlebury Consignment, you can do so much more than just shop for furniture. You can also cozy up in their cafe for a delicious bite to eat. The Cafe at Middlebury Consignment has everything from warm quiches to stuffed acorn squash.

“We change our menu seasonally so right now this is our favorite time of year because everyone loves these fall foods,” said Rachel Yimoyines of Middlebury Consignment.

The dishes are made with only the freshest ingredients and the food speaks for itself. At the cafe, the ambiance is always warm and always inviting.

“You feel like you’re stepping into someone’s kitchen, and it’s just welcoming, like someone’s home,” explained Mary Kravec, a chef at Middlebury Consignment.

Come enjoy a warm fall day out on the patio or eat inside the cozy dining room. And to make your meal even more special, why not try a seasonal cocktail?

“We try to make something fun and interesting and very ‘New Englandy,’” Kravec said.

“Sometimes we’re using ingredients or items we use here in the story for our cocktails,” Yimoyines said. “We’ll use something from our candy shop to garnish one of our pumpkin martinis and we’ll use a sprig of rosemary from our garden outside for the cranberry mojito.”

For those who want to hone their culinary skills, the Cafe at Middlebury Consignment also offers cooking classes.

“It’s hands on,” Kravec explained. “We cook for a good two hours. I make you work, and then we get to sit down at a big, long table with everybody else, eat and drink together.”

“On top of the cooking classes, we do a lot of holiday parties and people love coming here because instead of bringing their group of employees to a restaurant, they come her \and have a cooking class and have more of an interactive experience,” Yimoyines said.

With the endless shopping, delicious food and cocktails, one things that’s for sure is you won’t leave the Cafe at Middlebury Consignment disappointed. To learn more, visit
