HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Crews in Hartford are working to fix a 6″ water main break near the intersection of Townley Street and Atwood Street.

The water main was shut down around 8:45 Friday morning, and crews expect repairs to take between five and seven hours.

The main was originally installed back in 1931.

Six apartments and multi-family homes on Townley Street, Atwood Street, and Willard Street have been affected by the shutdown.
