Middletown Man Tries To Lure Kids With Candy From Bus Stop

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) – Parents a warning to remind your kids to never take anything from a stranger and never get in a car with them. Middletown Police are looking for a man who’s been trying to lure kids into his SUV with candy.

Police say on the morning of Thursday, September 29th, and September 30th man drove a small silver SUV drove up to a group of kids waiting for the school bus. Police say he slowly turned his car around the kids, offered them some candy, and then drove away in the area of East Street in the Westfield section.

The board of education has been notified. And Police are asking if anyone witnesses a similar incident to contact police immediately. The Middletown Police department also advises if your child should ever find themselves in that situation they should not get in the vehicle and find the closest trusted adult and tell them what’s happening.
