Sources: Law enforcement officials meet to discuss Carman case

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Sources confirmed to News 8 that a meeting took place Monday between law enforcement officials to discuss the case involving Nathan Carman and his mother, Linda.

News 8 first reported that the meeting would be taking place last week. Officials were scheduled to discuss both the disappearance of Linda Carman, and the unsolved 2013 murder of her father, John Chakalos, in which Nathan was a person of interest.

The meeting involved several law enforcement agencies from across New England.

Nathan Carman was discovered floating in a life raft last month after the boat he and his mother were in sank 100 nautical miles south of Martha’s Vineyard.

Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the sinking of the boat.
