Things to Consider Before You Adopt a Dog

NEW HAVEN Conn. (WTNH) — Adopt a dog month has officially started, and what better way to help celebrate the month than by saving a dogs life and giving it a forever home.

Montana Cateni with the Pack Leaders Rescue of CT stopped by our station to talk to us about how they travel down south once a week and bring back dozens of dogs that are looking for homes. Montana saved Star and Rossie in Arkansas and brought them back home.

Montana says families need to ask the following questions before adopting a dog:

  1. Are you prepared to have a dog?
  2. Are you honestly ready for the responsibility of a dog?
  3. Does your schedule give plenty of time to your dog?
  4. Can you afford to have a dog?

Pack Leaders Rescue of CT has lots of adoption events every month. If you are interested in looking at dogs or want to find out where some of their adoption events are. You can visit their website here.
