NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) — Two girls have been arrested for threats made toward Naugatuck schools on a clown social media account.

Naugatuck police have arrested two girls under the age of 14, one from Naugatuck and one from Stratford, for allegedly posting on a “clown” social media page. Police say the girls created the page “Jackson the Clown” and began posting on it.

Some of the posts read, “Will be in Naugatuck” “Be careful” “Lock your doors” “Which school first?” Police say the posts were made Monday with various clown pictures attached and led to the decision to place extra police at all Naugatuck schools on Tuesday.
